$180.00
Middle School (Afternoon Only) For our middle schoolers (Rising 6th-Rising 8th graders), we have a camp offered each week. As this is a new experience, we are offering only one camp option per afternoon.
Week 1 June 1-4: Escape Stranger Things

Escape Stranger Things: Engulf in the Upside Down with mythological characters, creating narratives and labyrinths in a world of their own making. Step into the shoes of codebreakers to navigate a world inspired by Stranger Things. Participants will master essential cryptology techniques, learning to decode Caesar ciphers, Morse code, and Vigenère squares to intercept "clues" from across dimensions. Each day, students will apply these skills to solve immersive escape room puzzles that require both logical deduction and high-pressure teamwork. As the narrative unfolds, campers will utilize invisible ink and "telepathic" logic puzzles to map out the gate to the Upside Down and outsmart the Mind Flayer. At the end of the week, campers will challenge themselves in an Escape Room at Escapology to see if they all can work together to save their friends.

$200.00
Week 2 June 8-11: Ultimate Frisbee and Disc Sports

Ultimate Frisbee and Disc Sports: Utilizing various terrain on Brookstone campus, campers will explore the depths of ultimate frisbee. Participants will learn to master fundamental skills like backhand, forehand, and hammer throws through engaging, age-appropriate drills. The focus in the second half of the afternoon will shift to offensive and defensive strategies, teaching athletes how to time their cuts and maintain effective field positioning. Beyond Ultimate, students will be introduced to the precision of Disc Golf and the high-energy teamwork required for KanJam. At the end of the week, campers will venture off for an afternoon picnic and to play a round or two of Disc Gulf at Flat Rock Park.

$200.00
Week 3 June 15-18: The Entrepreneur in the MasterChef

The Entrepreneur in the MasterChef: Middle school campers will transform from home cooks into professional food business owners. Students begin by mastering essential kitchen fundamentals, including knife safety, heat control, and the "mise en place" philosophy used in professional kitchens. As they refine their culinary techniques, participants will simultaneously work on branding their own unique food business by designing logos and crafting custom menus. In this camp, there is focus on flavor profiling and recipe development, encouraging young chefs to put a creative twist on classic dishes. The program culminates in a demonstration video as a team, where counselors will judge their final product in a 'Grand Tasting' event.

$200.00
Week 4 June 22-25: The AI Challenge

The AI Challenge: Middle schoolers will learn to transform artificial intelligence into a powerful academic partner for their summer reading and/or math assignments. The focus of this challenge is to understand the ethical practice of using AI tools in improving and enhancing understanding. Through hands-on workshops, campers will use AI tools to generate personalized reading comprehension guides and interactive vocabulary practice for their required summer novels. In the math-focused sessions, participants will learn "prompt engineering" to break down complex algebraic word problems into manageable, step-by-step tutorials. The week culminates in a "Human vs. Machine" showcase where students demonstrate in a video format how they used AI to deepen their understanding of a topic rather than simply finding the answer. By the end of the course, students will have developed a responsible "AI Toolkit" that ensures they return to school with both their assignments completed and a cutting-edge technical skill set.

$200.00

NOTE: A 2.75% credit card processing fee will be added to your total.
This will be reflected on the next screen.
